Environmental Engineering

Introduction

Dr. Chen is an associate professor at National Chung Hsing University. She completed a postdoc in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, USA. She holds a Ph.D. degree from Purdue University. Dr. Chen received her M.S. and bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from National Cheng Kung University. Her background and experiences underline the interdisciplinary research program she leads.

Dr. Chen’s research focuses on environmental sensing systems, the fate of emerging materials, sustainability, and recycling. We will help the researcher broaden the perspectives in environmental engineering/science practice. The laboratory is equipped with much-needed wet chemistry laboratory equipment. Dr. Chen will guide and assist the researcher in the aspect of the research activity from the design and conceptualization of the process to the analysis of critical variables used in the studies. Peers from the same laboratory will be helpful in assisting the researcher in the laboratory experiments.
