The major field of the principal investigator (PI) includes preparation and electron field emission application (including field emission display, field emission lighting and field emission X-ray) of the nanocarbon related materials (including carbon nanotubes, carbon nanocoils, carbon nanowalls and nanocrystalline diamond). Based on the preliminary researchof the nanocarbon related materials, this projectis designed touse the microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method to grow the diamond film for electron field emission application. The research is novel and interesting thatrequires knowledge of physics, materials and vacuum microelectronics.
