National Cheng Kung University

Introduction

My research interests are in colloid and surface chemistry, specifically the topics of surfactant assembly for drug delivery applications. I served as President of the Taiwan Colloid and Interface Society from 2009-2013 and 2015-2017, and as a committee member of the Asian Society of Colloids and Surface Sciences since 2005 and as President since 2022. I currently serve as a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and vice dean of the College of Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, and serve as associate technical editor of the Journal of Surfactants and Detergents.

Our laboratory aims to develop novel drug delivery systems from mixed surfactant systems.  Catanionic vesicles with high stability and specific charge character are fabricated from ion pair amphiphiles, prepared from mixed surfactant systems, with a proper process.  Moreover, the feasibility of using the stable catanionic vesicles with charges in various delivery applications is examined.
