Dr. Chia-Liang Sun is currently the associate professor at the department of chemical and materials engineering in Chang Gung University. He receives BS/Ph.D in materials science and engineering. His research is currently focused on graphene-based composite materials for sensor and energy applications.

- Synthesis and integration of sp2-nanocarbon materials (carbon nanotube, graphene, graphene nanoribbons … etc.) for sensor and semiconductor device applications
- Synthesis and integration of sp2-nanocarbon supports with the decoration of size-selected nanoparticles for energy conversion and storage applications (fuel cell, Li-ion battery, solar cell … etc.)
- Visualization for in-depth understanding of atomic-scale and electronic structures of novel materials with the help of both calculations and experimental characterizations
