Dr. Yu-Ju Lin received both his Ph.D. And M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) and his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Fu Jen Catholic University (Taiwan). In 2008, he began working at National Cheng Kung University as a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he is leading a team of researchers in organic semiconductors and flexible electronics. In 2011 he joined United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) at their Advanced Technology Development (ATD) as Chief Engineer and research scientist for the semiconductor process. Since 2017 he joined Tunghai University (Taiwan) as Assistant Professor in Department of Industrial Engineering and Enterprise Information and research on Internet of Things, Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and Mechatronics.

The laboratory of Manufacturing Control and Execution Systems was founded in about 2005 for education, research, and industrial applications in the area of manufacturing automation. The funder of the lab are National Science and Technology Council/Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Bureau of Industry, Companies, and Tunghai University.
Due to recent development of Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing, the lab of MCES also provide related knowledge and research outputs for education and industrial applications.
