Dr. Chih-Yuan Chu joined the Department of Industrial Engineering and Enterprise Information faculty at Tunghai University in 2023. Before joining Tunghai University, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Iowa State University. His research interests include global supply chain risk management, text analytics, product service systems, and sustainability.
X Lab was founded by Dr. Chih-Yuan Chu in 2023. It was named after the idea of Design for X. The letter X means excellence, indicating that X Lab aims to help enterprise improve their operations and performance towards excellence. It also means the critical X factor in a manufacturing/service process. X Lab is dedicated to discovering the key X factors that would help a company succeed using industrial engineering methods and data analytics tools.
