Ji-Min Li's Lab
Research Field
Dr. Li is currently an assistant professor in the Institute of Precision Medicine, College of Medicine at the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). His research interests are largely direct towards investigating the detailed mechanisms underlying human diseases. He particularly interested in identifying potential therapeutic targets against respiratory diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and lung cancer. Specifically, his research achievement on pulmonary fibrosis was chosen to be orally presented at several scientific conferences and has also led to a first-authorship manuscript which has been published in the Molecular Therapy.
Dr. Li's lab focuses on the investigation of underlying mechanisms in respiratory diseases including pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer. They aim to identify therapeutic targets and develop potential strategies for improving current regimens in lung diseases. The experimental techniques of molecular and cellular biology are used for in vitro studies. They also utilize the mouse model to determine the potential therapeutic effects in targeting pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer. Teamwork is one of the most important things you have to learn in Dr. Li's lab.
