Research Field
Meng-Lin Ku (M'11-SM'20) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in communication engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2002, 2003, and 2009, respectively.
From 2009 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Prof. L.-C. Wang with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, and also with Prof. V. Tarokh with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA. In August 2010, he became a Faculty Member of the Department of Communication Engineering, National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, where he is currently a Distinguished Professor. During the summer of 2013, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Signals and Information Group of Prof. K. J. R. Liu with the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA. His current research interests are in the areas of green communications, terrestrial-satellite & UAV-integrated communications, and optimization and learning for radio access.
Dr. Ku was the recipient of the Exploration Research Award of the Pan Wen Yuan Foundation in 2013, the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Award in 2019, and the Outstanding Youth Award of Taiwan Consumer Electronics Society in 2022. He was also the recipient of IEEE PIMRC Best Track Paper Award in 2022. He was the former Chair of the IEEE Information Theory Society Taipei Chapter, and he is currently serving as Associate Editors of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and IEEE Access.
Broadband Mobile Communication (BMC) Laboratory was initiated in 2010. BMC Laboratory is a research group in the Department of Communication Engineering at National Central University (NCU), Taiwan. We do research on communication theory, signal processing as well as their applications for future wireless and mobile communications, and enthusiastically try to make our contribution to advanced communication technology for providing innovation in both academia and industry.
