Research Field
Dr. Keshav Singh is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Communications Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, and an Adjunct Professor at Memorial University, Canada. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan, in 2015. With prior research roles at the University of Edinburgh, UK, and University College Dublin, Ireland, Dr. Singh has consistently contributed to advancements in wireless communications. As a pioneer in green communications, integrated sensing, machine learning for wireless networks, and non-terrestrial communication systems, Dr. Singh leads groundbreaking research in the iWIC Lab. Under his mentorship, the lab has garnered numerous accolades, including Best Paper Awards at premier IEEE conferences and the prestigious Best Ph.D. Thesis Award from IEEE Tainan Section. Dr. Singh’s prolific publication record includes over 200 papers, with 120+ in top-tier IEEE journals and 100 in flagship IEEE conferences like GLOBECOM, ICC and VTC. He is a leading voice in his field, serving as a guest editor for special issues in the IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. An influential figure in global academia, Dr. Singh has chaired workshops at IEEE GLOBECOM 2023 and IEEE WCNC 2024. His efforts exemplify a commitment to fostering innovation, inspiring collaboration, and advancing cutting-edge research in wireless communication.
Intelligent Wireless Communication (i-Wic) Laboratory was initiated in 2021. i-Wic Lab is a research group in the Institute of Communications Engineering at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The lab mainly focuses on research related to future wireless communications such as beyond 5G and 6G communications and aims to make exceptional contributions towards the research and development in the field of advanced wireless communications for both academic and industrial purpose. The recent technical advancement in wireless networks has inflated the demand for uninterrupted and ubiquitous communication which can be achieved by beyond 5G and 6G wireless technology. These communication models comes with unique challenges and requirements for each different area of research. Thus, i-WiC lab intends to research on different aspects of wireless communications. At present, the research team consists of masters students, PhD scholars and Post-Doc researchers whose research works focuses on beyond 5G/6G communication, next generation multiple access, UAV assisted wireless communications, RIS assisted V2V and V2I communication, artificial intelligence and machine learning for wireless communication.
Currently, i-WiC Lab has five vacancies for research interns.
Green communications, resource allocation, full-duplex radio, ultra-reliable low-latency communication, non-orthogonal multiple access, wireless edge caching, machine learning for communications, and large intelligent surface-assisted communications.
