Professor Hong-Wei Yen currently serving as a Professor in the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at Tunghai University, Taiwan, is an accomplished scholar with a profound academic background. Fermentation Biotechnology Laboratory welcomes interested international students in doing internship at Tunghai University. Our main research interest is to develop innovative fermentation biotechnology, including i) Fermentation Engineering, ii) Utilizing natural or genetically engineered microorganisms to produce pharmaceutical-grade biotechnological products, iii) Environmental Bioprocessing Engineering, iv) Utilizing environmental microorganisms to naturally decompose solid waste materials to achieve waste reduction and resource recycling goals.
