Guan-Yu Zhuo serves as an Associate Professor in the Institute of Biophotonics, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (Yangming Campus). The primary focus of Dr. Zhuo's research lies in the advancement of optical imaging techniques within the field of Biophotonics. His goal is to develop sophisticated imaging methodologies and eventually implement them in hospital settings. These techniques are intended to contribute to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, specifically in the realms of endoscopy and noninvasive treatment of collagenous tissues using short-pulse lasers. Dr. Zhuo aspires to translate his research findings into practical applications, addressing existing challenges in the diagnosis and therapy of various medical conditions. His commitment extends to demonstrating and testing related studies in a clinical setting, ensuring the potential impact of these innovations on improving healthcare practices.
Dr. Zhuo's lab is actively engaged in the advancement of innovative imaging techniques, specifically focusing on nonlinear optical microscopy, nonlinear endomicroscopy, polarization-resolved microscopy, and super-resolved optical microscopy. These cutting-edge methods aim to capture and visualize molecular and macromolecular details within cells and tissues by leveraging both linear and nonlinear light scattering.

Dr. Zhuo earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from National Taiwan University in 2012.

Job Description
Location: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (Taipei campus)
Working hours: 8 hours/day
Duties: Assist lab members, learn knowledge of experimental tools, and hand in monthly report.
