Research Field
Dr Santhana Krishna Kumar is an assistant professor who joined the Department of Chemistry, NSYSU, Taiwan in August 2023. Before prior to joining NSYSU, he was an assistant professor (adjunct) from the faculty of geology geophysical and environmental protection at AGH University Science and Technology (2021–2023), Krakow-Poland. He received a Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS-Pilani, India), in 2014 under the guidance of Professor N. Rajesh. Subsequently, Dr Krishna joined as a postdoctoral researcher at NSYSU-Taiwan (2014-2017) under the guidance of Professor Shiuh-Jen Jiang (retired), thereafter Dr. Krishna moved to Professor Wei-lung Tseng's Lab (NSYSU-Taiwan) in 2017 to 2021, during his post-doctoral tenure acquired wide variety of experimental knowledge which are mainly involved in the preparation of zero-dimensional, one-dimensional and two-dimensional fluorescent probes for practical application in chemical sensors, bio-imaging & cancer cell treatment and also he has developed numerous photo -catalysts for visible light-induced catalytic degradation of aromatic nitro compounds such as [Tri-nitro phenols (TNP), Tri-nitro aniline(TNT) and nitro aniline]. Dr Krishna has author and co-author for more than 53 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals which include 3500 citations (as of december-2024 data from Google Scholar, an h index of 33, Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) 2.82, i10 index 41, i200 index 3). He is currently serving in different roles (Academic Editor, guest editor, associate editor & editorial board member) for various international journals.

Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Ph.D. candidates for our doctoral program. The internship program concentrated on the development of zero-dimensional, one-dimensional, and two-dimensional fluorescent probes for practical uses in chemical sensors, bio-imaging, and cancer cell therapy. The internship program concentrated on the creation of several photocatalysts for the visible-light-induced catalytic degradation of aromatic nitro compounds, including tri-nitro phenols (TNP), tri-nitro aniline (TNT), and nitro aniline.
Preferred Intern Education Level
- Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program with a strong focus on advancing to a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering).
Skill sets or Qualities
Interns who conduct their internship on campus must apply as visiting students at least 1 month before their arrival. They are required to pay the fees listed on this page
