Dr. Che-Wei Chou is an assistant professor at Department of Industrial Engineering and Systems Management, Feng Chia University. He also serviced as the CEO in Artificial Intelligence for Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (AIMS) Research Center, MOST, Taiwan (2019~2021). He is responsible for coordinating AIMS research teams and executing research projects to build on Taiwan's strength in manufacturing to update and transform industries, bridge partnerships between academia and industry for innovation and entrepreneurship, export AI solutions for intelligent manufacturing, and elevate Taiwan's global visibility and influence in AI.
Dr. Chou has been working in TFT-LCD industry more than ten years. He is sophisticated in TFT-LCD industrial domain knowledge that including mobile and TV display panel design and its manufacturing process. Regarding to his business working experience, he is experience in product strategy planning, product portfolio, technology roadmap development, and project management.
Dr. Chou current research interests include intelligent manufacturing, decision analysis, big data analytics, and production planning & scheduling. Based on my industrial experience and research interesting, my research is emphasis on manufacturing strategy that synchronizing with business viewpoint into manufacturing decisions. I combine with optimization, big data analytics, and decision analysis perspectives into Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing topics. I propose a series of research works that including demand fulfillment, capacity planning, product scheduling and manufacturing resource allocation for optimizing manufacturing resource problems. I try to bridge the gap between industrial and academic that using optimization and data analytics methodology to solve real industrial problems.
