Microfluidic and Nanofluidic Devices Lab
Research Field
Dr. Li-Hsien Yeh is currently a distinguished professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 2007. He has been serving as Editor in Chemical Engineering Journal from 2024 and has received several awards, including Young Scholars’ Creativity Award (Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship), Outstanding Research Award (National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan), Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan), and the SCEJ Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer (Society of Chemical Engineers (SCEJ), Japan). His current research interests include microfluidics and nanofluidics, MOF/COF/2D materials membranes, ionic circuit, and nanofluidic energy conversion.
The Yeh's lab focuses on developing promising ion transport membranes (e.g., MOF, COF, and 2D materials) and ionic circuit devices for new types of water-enabled energy generations, including osmotic energy, electrokinetic energy, and droplet and moisture induced electricity. We are also interested in developing experiments and theoretical models in better understanding ion transport phenomena in such nano- or subnano-confinements.
