Research Field
Chun-Yuan Huang was born in Taiwan on July 17, 1975. He received the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, in 2006. During 2007-2009, he has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Microelectronics Engineering and the Advanced Optoelectronic Technology Center, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. He is now a faculty member at Department of Applied Science, National Taitung University. His current research interests include fabrication and applications of chemically synthesized nanocrystals and quantum dots. He now has published 69 SCI publications.
Nano-Optoelectronics Lab is the lab focused on the researches of optoelectronic nano-devices, mainly the LEDs and solar cells. The lab leader is Prof. Chun-Yuan Huang and there is currently about 12 group members, including a master degree student. The lead halide perovskites of CsPbBr3 and Cs4PbBr6 and II-VI CdSe/ZnS quantum dots and nanostructures and their related optoelectronic devices can be fabricated readily in the lab. The research accomplishments were published in ACS journals including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and ACS Applied Nano Materials.
- Synthesis of nanostructures, including perovskites and II-VI semiconductors.
- Metal-oxides including NiO, ZnO, and MgZnO.
- Organic-inorganic hybrid devices.
- Nano-devices.
