Prof. Lee's research interests encompass a wide spectrum of cutting-edge areas, including Lithium-ion batteries, Organic batteries, and Polymer chemistry with a particular focus on Mechanochemistry. These research interests have driven a remarkable career marked by continuous innovation and contributions to the scientific community.
Currently, Prof. Lee serve as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry at National Sun Yat-sen University since 2018, and he has been a Professor since 2018. Prior to his current position, he held teaching and research roles at National Sun Yat-sen University, where he progressed from Assistant Professor (2008-2012) to Associate Professor (2012-2018). His academic journey includes a postdoctoral research position at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2006-2008), and earlier research contributions as a Researcher at the Materials Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan (2002-2006).
Our research focuses on organic and polymeric materials chemistry for lithium-ion batteries, including (1) electrolyte additives, (2) cathodes, and (3) anodes. We are also interested in catholytes and anolytes for organic flow batteries.
