Introduction

Leading this group of talented researchers on our exploration of our research focus has been an incredible journey. As the mentor, my role is to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to our laboratory members. I take great pride in nurturing the talents of our researchers and helping them grow both professionally and personally.

Our laboratory is composed of a group of members who have a spirit of mutual support and collaboration. Our laboratory embodies our team's collective passion for research related to nutrition (please refer to the specific research topic) and our dedication to advancing knowledge in this field. We warmly welcome students from abroad who are interested in nutrition research. Our goal is to foster a culturally diverse environment where a variety of viewpoints enhance our research pursuits.

Research Topics
  1. Alcoholic liver diseases (ALD) and nutrition: Sokei's Lab keep focusing on the ALD and nutrition,  and keep doing a lot of related research until now. It is the main research topic in Sokei's Lab.
  2. Fermented Rice Bran Technology: In addition to the ALD experiments, Sokei's Lab collaborates with Tohoku University and Yamagata University, Japna on the  technology of rice branfermentation . We work together with industry partners to develop functional health materials.
  3. Nutritional Sciences: Sokei's Lab conducts human trials for oral nutritional supplements aimed at promoting the nutrition status of the elderly.
  4. Functional food evaluation: Sokei's  Lab also assesses the efficacy of funtiuonal foods and food for special medical purpose.
