- Research Interests:
(1) Through comprehensive analysis of big data, we've pinpointed a range of agents (previously established drugs) with the potential to surmount drug resistance. These agents encompass both small molecules and herbal remedies, all of which act as inhibitors against cancer stem cells. Additionally, we've integrated bioinformatics strategies to pinpoint companion diagnostic biomarkers tailored to these cancer stem cell inhibitors. By combining conventional chemotherapy with our newly revealed cancer stem cell inhibitors, we've devised a targeted approach to cancer treatment rooted in precision medicine.
(2) Our primary focus revolves around the advancement of a finely tuned exosome platform technology, meticulously engineered for the purpose of transporting specific collections of effector molecules like mRNA and miRNA. These molecules execute their functions through clearly defined mechanisms of action. The core of our exosome production technique lies in a silicon wafer-based electroporation technology, which streamlines the large-scale production of exosomes while accommodating the effector molecules released by the originating cells. The scope of our exosome-oriented investigations encompasses anti-cancer therapies, interventions for rare diseases, as well as applications centered on anti-aging, osteoarthritis and regeneration.
