San-Liang Lee has also collaborated closely with tens of industrial partners in the past 20 years to develop new photonics technologies via industry-academia collaboration project and consultancy. Since 2014, he is the independent director for the Board of Directors for 2 photonic companies in Taiwan. He also collaborated with the research institutes of ITRI to develop several key optical communication modules and laser light sources for optical networking, high-speed rail wireless, and bio sensing.
The laboratory focuses on the development of optical communication network and the manufacturing process of optical communication semiconductor components. In recent years, the main purpose is the development of high-speed transmission communication network and semiconductor optical integrated circuit.
