Research Field
LIN HUI (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Tunghai University, the M.S. degree in mathematics from Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from Tamkang University, Taiwan, in 2006. She got the support from the Chungshan Institute of Science and Technology to be a Special Student with the Department of Computer Science, University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA, in 1993. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Tamkang University. Her research interests include operation research, data mining, machine learning, multimedia applications, and mobile information systems. She has published more than 110 journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers related to these research fields. She had served as a Guest Editor for a special issue on social media and interactive technologies and Journal of World Wide Web, and the Program Co-Chair for many international conferences and workshops, including PAKDD/BigPMA (2015 and 2016), Frontier Computing: Theory, Technologies and Applications (2017 and 2018), and Ubi-Media (2016–2019~).
TKU ADML Lab includes four professors: Prof. Lin Hui, Prof. Ying-Hong Wang, Prof. Huang-Wen Huang, and Prof. Fu-Yi Hung.
Taiwan's academic units that have cooperative relations with this laboratory include: The Department of Information Management, National Central University, the Department of Communication Engineering, National Central University, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, National Tsing Hua University, etc.
Fields of Specialty in the Lab include Machine Learning, Data Mining and Big Data Analysis, Internet of Things Application, Mobile Computing, Scientific Computing, Multimedia System, etc.
