Introduction

Dr. Cheng-Kuo Tsai obtained his MS from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences from Tsing Hua University. I was a material and chemical laboratory researcher, at ITRI, from 2007~2017. During my research in ITRI, I have a rich experience in environmental engineering and advanced materials, from research to commercialization, and have patented three research projects in Taiwan, Japan, China, Korea, Europe, and the United States of America. I’m an assistant researcher in the emergency response information center at Nation Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. I have also completed more than five research projects as an Investigator, funded by several government agencies and private industries in Taiwan. With his outstanding research output, I have received a few awards in Taiwan, including the Outstanding Thesis Award provided by the Blessing Educational Foundation, Global Top 100 R&D Special Contribution Award, and Gold Medal Innovation Award ITRI.

My interesting research focuses on the sustainable environment, using waste materials as a resource to develop a novel nanomaterial application in the field of recycling wastewater and CO2 capture.
