Dr. Yun-Hsuan Chang distinguished herself academically by obtaining her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Allied Health Sciences at National Cheng Kung University in 2013. In 2015, she assumed a faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Asia University, progressing to an Associate Professorship within the same department in 2018. She also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Optometry at Asia University. In 2021, she took on a dual role as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Genomics and Bioinformatics at National Chung Hsing University and as the Director of the Health Center at NCHU. Currently, Dr. Chang holds an Associate Professorship in the Institute of Gerontology at National Cheng Kung University. A testament to her scholarly prowess, she was honored with the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award by the National Science Council in 2019, followed by accolades for teaching excellence in 2020 and distinguished scholarship in 2021. Her research primarily delves into the study of mood disorders, with specific emphasis on the subtyping of bipolar disorders, their comorbidities, and geriatric depression with vascular diseases from a clinical neuropsychological perspective. Additionally, she has exhibited her interests in the development of psychotherapeutic approaches incorporating technological facilities.
The EMCC lab is named after “Exploration of Mental health and Cognitive Computation”. In our lab, we aim to investigate the impact of mental health and its relation with digital society, in that we propose to understand the possible facility from digital utility.
