Light manufacture and inspection
Research Field
Shih-Feng Tseng received the Ph.D. degree in Department of Mechanical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu in 2011. He worked at the Instrument Technology Research Center, National Applied Research Laboratories during 2004-2018 as a researcher fellow in precision engineering. He is currently an associate professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology. His research interests include studies of the interaction between the laser beams and advanced materials, the fabrication and testing of smart sensors, and the optomechanical design and analysis.
Our Lab ‘Light manufacture and inspection' focused on the fabrication and testing of smart sensors, such as the gas sensors, humidity sensors, strain sensors, etc. Moreover, we synthesized various composites as the sensing layer by laser-induced process, hydrothermal, or sol-gel methods. Our Lab has published more than 50 international journals. Students who are interested in developing smart sensors are welcome to participate in the internship.
