Introduction

Yi-Jheng Huang received her BS degree in Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan, and her MS and PhD degrees in Department of Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. Now, she is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Yuan Ze University. Her research interests include computer graphics, mixed reality, and human-computer interaction

​The Computer Graphics and Human-Computer Interaction Lab, led by Assistant Professor Yi-Jheng Huang at Yuan Ze University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, focuses on advancing research in computer graphics, mixed reality (MR), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), human-computer interaction, and computer vision. 

Dr. Huang earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University and has published over 30 international journal and conference papers in venues such as ACM SIGGRAPH, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and the International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction. She has received multiple best paper awards, including those at the International Symposium on Information Technology Applications (Taiwan 2023) and Smart Graphics 2014. ​

The lab's recent research endeavors concentrate on MR/VR glasses interactions and 3D model generation. Projects include designing hand gesture controls and developing reading systems for MR glasses, as well as constructing VR medical training environments and rehabilitation applications. In the realm of 3D model generation, the lab focuses on reconstructing 3D models into CAD formats and building datasets for CAD models. ​

The lab actively seeks Ph.D. students and welcomes both academic and industry collaborations.


Research Topics

The Computer Graphics and Human-Computer Interaction Lab focuses on advancing research in the following areas:

Computer Graphics: Development of novel techniques for 3D model reconstruction, rendering, and visualization, with applications in CAD model generation.

Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR): Research on immersive technologies, including MR/VR glasses interaction, gesture-based controls, and applications in training and rehabilitation.

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI): Designing intuitive interaction methods for MR/VR environments, including reading systems and adaptive interfaces.

Computer Vision: Investigating techniques for 3D scene understanding, object recognition, and integration with AR/VR applications.

The lab's recent projects include hand gesture control for MR glasses, VR-based medical training environments, rehabilitation applications, and automated 3D model conversion into CAD formats.
