Introduction

Dr. Wei-Wen Liu completed a Ph.D. in the Graduate Institute of Pathology at National Taiwan University, and the research topic mainly focused on how a novel molecule mediates neuronal apoptosis in the developing mouse brain. After graduation, Dr. Liu joined the Ultrasonic Imaging Laboratory of the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Electronics and Bioinformatics at National Taiwan University. She integrated several biomedical applications with ultrasound technologies to discover novel theranostic approaches for monitoring and treating diseases. Dr. Liu's current research interests lie in developing innovative tumor diagnostic platforms and therapeutic strategies based on ultrasound technologies, especially in applications of ultrasound contrast agents, sonogenetics, ultrasound bioeffects, and shear wave elastography.

Translational Ultrasound Biomedical Research Lab is focused on using ultrasound technologies for biomedical applications, including medical imaging, therapy, tumor biology, and translational research. Projects and expertise span from theranostic strategy development to translational medicine.

Research Topics
  1. Development of innovative strategies for endodontic treatment
  2. Ultrasound-assisted drug delivery
  3. Development of high-throughput diagnostic platforms
