Job Description

Nahm sums are specific q-hypergeometric series associated with a quadratic form. An intricate web of rich mathematical connections thread topics in distinct areas of mathematics, including Nahm sums, quantum modular forms, vertex operator algebra, quiver representation theory, and quantum topology, together. The student will focus on surveying the relation between Nahm sums, three-dimensional quantum field theories, and three-manifold topologies.
