Introduction

I am a health economist in the health policy and management area,  with rich experience in econometric modeling with large datasets, including claims data, electronic health records, and survey data. Key research areas include health economics and econometric methods; telehealth; health disparity; behavioral health care and primary care integration; mental health specialty; healthcare workforce. 

We are focused on identifying health policy issues, investigating critical factors associated with such issues, and evaluating health programs and policies that address those issues. Currently, we have 2 Ph.D. students, 11 Master's students, and 3 undergraduate students. We welcome anyone who is interested in health policy and health economics. 


Research Topics

Topics include Health Policy, Health Services Research, Health Economics, Health Disparity, Mental Health, Maternal Health, Rural Health, Telehealth, Primary Care Integration. We are specially interested in equity and disparity within each topic area.

Educational Background

I had a BS in Public Health and BA in Economics from National Taiwan University, a Master of Health Science from Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA, and a Ph.D. in Health Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA. I also had working experiences in the Pharmaceutical industry, think-tank consulting, and public sectors.
