Research Field
Fang Rong Hsu received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1992. He is a professor and was the chairperson in the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science at Feng-Chia University, Taiwan. He was the Chairperson and a Professor of the Department of Bioinformatics, at Asia University (2003-2004). He was the Chairperson and a Professor of the Department of Information Technology, at Asia University (2002-2003). He was an associate professor and a professor at Providence University (1994-2002). His current research interests include AI, biomedical image processing, cloud computing, and graph algorithms.
Bioinformatics & Biomedical Engineering Lab recently focused on applying AI technology to solve biomedical problems. The project leader has been engaged in relevant research with various medical institutions in the central region for an extended period. Current partners in the collaboration include the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Changhua Show Chwan Memorial Hospital, Changhua Christian Hospital, and China Medical University Hospital. Foreign students coming to Taiwan will focus on the application of artificial intelligence in precision medicine as the main theme of their study.
