As a literature professor with a previous degree in electrical engineering, I am interested in the intersection between the traditional humanities and contemporary digital technologies. I conduct research and practicum workshops on digital storytelling – new forms and configurations that transform age-old storytelling with contemporary applications in digital filmmaking, social media marketing, pitching and crowdfunding. Interested applicants will gain hands-on experience in bringing a digital humanities project to completion within the internship period. I continue to work on traditional literary analysis in English Literatures, and also welcome applicants training for an academic career in teaching and research in the humanities.
Based in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University, research in digital storytelling and digital humanities is now entirely mobile, customized to the individualized and personalized research interests of each applicant. Mentorship can be provided both on-site, in-person, or online for maximum flexibility in the learning experience.
