Introduction

Dr. Zong-Xian Yin is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) and the Director of the Sports Technology Center. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Cheng Kung University, where he specialized in fuzzy pattern recognition and intelligent clustering algorithms. His interdisciplinary background in computer science and industrial design enables him to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and real-world applications.

Dr. Yin’s research interests include AI-driven motion analysis, sports technology, human-computer interaction, medical image processing, and computational biology. He has applied computer vision and deep learning to enhance athlete performance tracking, injury prevention, and digital health monitoring. His projects include AI-powered biomechanical analysis for baseball pitching mechanics, high-speed motion tracking for sports performance, and unsupervised learning techniques for medical imaging segmentation.
