Research Field
Dr. Sheng-Lun Lin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He received a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Environmental Engineering, National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. During the last year (2011) of his Ph.D. study, he worked as a visiting scholar at the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering in University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and focused on the optical diagnostics for the spray and combustion flame came from several reneable and low-carbon fuels. Later, he served in Cheng Shiu University for eight years (2012-2020) and Beijing Institute of Technology (2020-2023) for three years prior to joining National Cheng Kung University in August 2023.
Since 2012, Dr. Lin has been the principal investigator or co-PI of 36 research projects related to aerosol science and technology, securing a total of approximately $2.4 million USD in funding. Dr. Lin has published 86 SCI papers in top international journals, including Appl. Energy, J. Hazard. Mater., Fuel, Energy, Appl. Thermal Eng., Waste Manage., and Aerosol Air Qual. Res. He has one ESI highly cited paper, over 1800 total SCI citations, and an h-index of 21 (Web of Science statistics as of May 31, 2024).
