Professor Wei-Yu Lin's research interests focus on the (i) Development of a new methodology for organic synthesis using a continuous flow system as a platform. The general concept is based on high-resolution time control using flow microreactors to enable chemical reactions that cannot be done in a batch condition. (ii) Metal-Catalyzed cyclization for the construction of heterocyclic derivatives, including the indoles, quinolines, quinazolinone and indazolone (iii) Selective for the C-N Bond activation by a simple method (iv) Biorthogonal approach for the in vivo imaging using a pretargeted oncologic positron emission tomography (PET) imaging that leverages the power of supramolecular nanoparticles with in vivo bioorthogonal chemistry was demonstrated to the clinically relevant problem of tumor imaging. Job Description
We wish to employing easily available CF3-ynones and 2-amino benzimidazole via
Sonochemistry reaction. We will establish a sustainable, solvent- and metal-free, atom-economic synthetic method for the efficient synthesis of CF3-substituted
benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine derivatives. This approach, which will produce
compounds with high functional group tolerance, utilizes a cascade reaction of
condensation followed by intramolecular cyclization.
Preferred Intern Education Level
Applicant must have master degree and major in organic chemistry
Skill sets or Qualities
Applicants must know how to conduct and handle the organic reactions
