Research Field
Chun-Hsing Li was born in Suao (蘇澳), Yilan, Taiwan, in 1983. He received the B.S. degree in electrophysics and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2005, 2007, and 2013, respectively. In 2014, he joined MediaTek, Hsinchu, Taiwan, as a Senior Engineer. In 2014 and 2018, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Central University, Jhongli, Taiwan, and the Department of Engineering and System Science, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, respectively, as an Assistant Professor. In August 2020, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, where he is currently a Full Professor. His current research interests include RF, millimeter-wave, and terahertz integrated circuit and system design.
Dr. Li has been an Associate Editor for IEEE Access since 2021 and a member of the TC-21 Terahertz Technology and Applications Committee of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society since 2022. He was a recipient of the Academic Contribution Award, EECS College, National Taiwan University 2022, the Outstanding Youth Electrical Engineer Award from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering 2022, the Outstanding Young Scholar Award from Taiwan IC Design Society 2020, the FineTek Technology Gold Award 2013, and the Best Paper Award (中國工程師學會 「詹天佑論文獎章」) from the Chinese Institute of Engineers 2013. He was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 13th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems, Nice, France, in 2006.
Welcome to the THz Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab, led by Prof. Li (CV), a Full Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University. Our lab focuses on developing advanced RF, millimeter-wave, and THz integrated circuits and systems. We aim to tackle various challenges in these areas by conducting cutting-edge research.
Our research topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- RF, mm-wave, and THz integrated circuit designs.
- High-efficiency and broadband THz antennas, low-loss and broadband THz packaging techniques, and low-loss THz transmission lines.
- High-performance THz phased-array transceivers.
- THz imaging radars and THz high-speed wireless communication systems.
- 5G/B5G/6G wireless communication systems.
- Millimeter-wave and THz phase-locked loops.
- Low-noise amplifier, power amplifier, up-conversion/down-conversion mixer, VCO, frequency divider, frequency multiplier, phase shifter, SPST/SPDT switch, transistor EM modeling, etc.
- Broadband transimpedance amplifier (TIA).
- Multi-band and high-efficiency RF energy harvesting systems and high-power wireless power transmission systems.
