The research lab led by Professor Wei-Song Hung focuses on cutting-edge advancements in graphene-based membranes and their applications in various fields. Our primary research areas include water treatment, organic solvent nanofiltration, gas separation, CO2 reduction reactions, energy generation, and advanced sensors. We specialize in the development of graphene composite membranes with tailored properties, enabling precise separation of complex mixtures and exceptional performance in demanding environments. In water treatment, our graphene membranes demonstrate superior efficiency in removing contaminants and desalination. For organic solvent nanofiltration, we explore membranes capable of selective molecular separations under harsh chemical conditions. Our research in gas separation targets advanced solutions for CO2 capture and hydrogen purification. Additionally, we focus on CO2 reduction reactions to address climate change by converting CO2 into valuable chemicals and fuels. Our team also develops multifunctional membranes for energy generation and highly sensitive sensors for environmental and industrial applications. With a strong commitment to innovation, our lab aims to tackle global challenges through interdisciplinary research, bridging academic excellence with practical impact.
