Duan-Yu Chen received the B.S. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Chiao Tung University in 2004. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, from 2004 to 2008. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, and the Dean of the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Chung-Li, Taiwan. He was a recipient of the Young Scholar Research Award from Yuan Ze University in 2012, the Outstanding Research Award in 2024. He was awarded Outstanding Professor by Far Eastern Y. Z. Hsu Foundation, and National Innovation Award, in 2024. His research interests include computer vision, video signal processing, light-weight deep model design, edge computing and medical signal processing.
