Dr. Chung-Ping Liao received his PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Liao is currently an Associate Professor at the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Taipei Medical University in Taiwan. Dr. Liao has a track record in the research of the genetic disorder neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and the novel Krox20+ epithelial stem cells. His representative publications published in J Clin Invest (PMID: 39361422; PMID: 29596064), Nat Commun (PMID: 30479396), Genes Dev (PMID: 28465357), and JCI Insight (PMID: 34499624).
The Liao laboratory is located in the TMU Xinyi Campus. The Liao lab is affiliated with the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in the TMU College of Medicine. We accept international graduate students through the TMU International Ph.D./Master Program in Medicine (IGPM), and the TMU International Ph.D. Program in Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine (IPCTRM). We also welcome international scholars for short-term visits. The Liao lab utilizes techniques of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Genetics to investigate critical unknown questions in cancers and development.
