Introduction

I am a geochemist and chemical oceanographer specializing in isotope geochemistry and the use of geochemical tracers to explore oceanic processes. My primary research goal is to harness isotope tracers to enhance our understanding of various chemical inputs and outputs in the ocean, including atmospheric deposition, continental runoffs, mid-ocean ridges, the sediment-water interface, marine productivity, and internal cycling. Currently, I am engaged in several projects aimed at identifying and quantifying these processes to address key questions in chemical oceanography.

My lab specializes in applying isotope geochemistry to decipher processes within Earth's surface systems. We focus on using trace elements and their isotopes as powerful tracers to explore marine dynamics and their interconnections with climate change. Our research encompasses a range of methods, including in-situ analysis and modeling, to investigate how these tracers can reveal insights about oceanic processes such as nutrient cycling, carbon sequestration, and the impacts of anthropogenic activities. Through collaborative efforts and pioneering research, we aim to contribute substantially to our understanding of the marine environment and its relationship with the global climate.
