Introduction

From 2000 to 2003, Jiun-Haw Lee was with the RiTdisplay Corporation as the director. Since 2003, he joined the faculty of National Taiwan University in the Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics and the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he is currently a professor. His research interests include organic optoelectronic devices, display technologies, and solid-state lighting.

Main research topics of the display device laboratory focus on the display and lighting technologies, especially on organic light-emitting device (OLED), which includes its design, fabrication, and measurements. By investigating the optical, electrical, and material characteristics, a high quality display and lighting device can be obtained.

Research Topics

In recent years, the research topics also include: (1) to fabricate long lifetime and high efficiency OLED for display and lighting, (2) to achieve high contrast ratio under high and low ambient by stacking vertically the liquid crystal display (LCD) and OLED, (3) to develop organic electronics and opto-electronics devices for energy and resource technology and radio frequency identification, and (4) integrated miniature organic and inorganic device for bio-sensor.

Honor

Fellow of SPIE, Optica, and SID.
