Introduction

Pei-Jhen Li carried out the undergraduate research and obtained her B.S. in Applied Chemistry from the National Chiayi University in 2013.

She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry  at the National Tsing Hua University in 2019.

She conducted the postdoctoral studies at the University of Alberta (2019–2020) and then at Academia Sinica (2020–2021).

In August 2021, she started her independent career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the National Chung Cheng University.

1. Using green reagents to synthesize important and interesting organic molecules.

2. Development of organic methodology: I am particularly interested in aqueous reaction systems for application in site-selective chemical modification of biomolecules.

3.Chemical Biology: Use the concept of organic chemistry to design functional probes and synthesize complex carbohydrate antigens to study the biomolecular interaction.

Research Topics

(1) Developing new organic methodology (ex. in glycosylation) by using green reaction conditions (ex. solvent free)

(2) Synthesis of Chemical Probes

(3) Synthesis of Bioactive Glycoconjugates

Honor

1. 2017 Poster Award of Chinese Chemistry Society

2. 2019 PhD's Thesis Award of Chinese Chemistry Society (biochemistry group)

3. 2023 Annual Meeting of Chinese Chemistry Society, Best poster excellent award.
