Research Field

Medical Engineering

Introduction

The research topic focuses on ultrasound imaging and biomedical signal processing, particularly on the integration of medicine, physics, and engineering. Key research directions include:

- Development of high-resolution ultrasound imaging & ultrasonic contrast agents
- Ultrasound contrast agents for nonlinear imaging or drug delivery & controlled release
- Ultrasound molecular imaging and techniques for opening the blood-brain barrier
- Ultrasound code-exciting imaging to assist with diagnosis
- Development of ultrasound-induced thrombolysis techniques
- Development of ultrasonic liquid lens probe

Future research will continue to deepen and expand in these areas.

Professor Chih-Kuang Yeh specializes in ultrasound biomolecular diagnosis, treatment, and drug delivery research. His groundbreaking work focuses on developing ultrasound-responsive agents for imaging and drug delivery. Key areas of his research include:

  1. Development of ultrasonic imaging agents, which serve as drug and gene carriers. This includes microbubbles (MBs), acoustic phase change droplets, and superhydrophobic, acoustic-sensitive nanoparticles.
  2. Establish ultrasound imaging systems and develop related algorithms.
  3. Application and integration of experimental models involving external cells and animal studies.

Research Topics
  • Ultrasound Theranostics
