Introduction

Prof. H Chen’s lab has dedicated over 20 years to the development and design of quantum dots, successfully transferring numerous technologies to industry. Our focus lies on practical applications, evident through numerous collaborative projects with industry partners.

Our lab specializes in the development of quantum dots and environmentally compatible materials. Quantum dots, nanoparticles with unique quantum size effects, are central to our research, particularly in their applications for displays, solar energy, and image sensing. Our efforts are directed towards advancing synthetic methods for large-scale production and refining fabrication processes in collaboration with industry partners. Additionally, we prioritize the development of environmentally compatible nanomaterials, with a focus on bio-compatibility and addressing potential nanotoxicology concerns within the bio-environmental research domain.

Research Topics
  1. Quantum dots synthesis and characterization, and applications.
