Introduction

Prof. Jih-Hsing Chang is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Management at Chaoyang University of Technology, Taiwan. He held a visiting scholar position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware, United States, and the School of Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences, Flinders University, Australia. He also held a Lecture Professor position at the College of Resources and Environmental Science, Wuhan University, China. His research focuses on photoelectrochemical and nanomaterials-based catalysts for renewable energy, wastewater treatment, carbon capture, and contaminated soil remediation.

Environmental Electrochemistry and Membrane Laboratory mainly focuses on developing sustainable materials from biomass with various nanocatalysts for energy harnessing and storage, carbon capture, hydrogen production, and wastewater treatment. Prof. Chang’s lab gets funding from the National Science and Technology Council to establish novel techniques for energy and environmental applications. The laboratory has well-equipped instruments for materials characterization, energy, and environmental applications.

Research Topics

Biomass Production, CO2 Capture, Electrochemistry, Energy Storage and Hydrogen Production, Fly ash, Membrane, Nanomaterials, and Wastewater Treatment.
