Sleep Neuroimaging Laboratory
Research Field
Changwei W. Wu received his B.Eng. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in 2001 and 2009, respectively. In 2010, he served as a postdoctoral visiting fellow in National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health, Baltimore, USA. He became junior faculty in Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering, National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Now he is a professor at Taipei Medical University for investigation of sleep neuroimage and brain consciousness. Professor Wu’s research expertise is on the technical basis of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and simultaneous EEG recordings. He devotes himself to enhancing the general quality of life through the comprehension of brain functionality.
Professor Wu is working toward the research orientations of sleep neuroimaging, brain in mindfulness, and brain in music listening, for those non-pharmaceutical interventions soothing the mental status and improving the mental health. Currently the lab members include the music therapist, nutritionist, psychologists, radiologists, and medical doctors. We appreciate the cross-field variability but all working together with the same neuroimaging technical background in pursuit of academic excellence and well-being improvement at the same time.
